Philosophy and ApproachPacific Employee Assistance helps employees with personal problems identify that they need help and encourages them to use the Employee Assistance Program services. Our goal is to resolve personal problems and limit human and economic losses these cause. We ensure easy access to clinical services of superior quality to address each employee’s concerns.
We focus on building trust through personal contact with employees in orientations, other on-site visits, and through written/printed program promotions. Trust is also increased as employees successfully use the program and recommend it to others. With this approach, people who would not ordinarily use counseling services will do so.
We understand that the most difficult thing some people will ever do is to make that call for help. After an employee or an employee’s relative decides to seek services, everything possible is done to ensure that the experience is as positive and convenient as possible.
Maintaining personal contact with our contracted organizations is a prime focus. We tailor our programs to meet the needs of each organization and consult with them regularly in an effort to see that those needs are being met. We are also a resource to management as consultants in specific situations.
The EAP team’s time is structured so that someone is always available for emergency consultations and assessments.
Our philosophy and approach maximize the EAP goal—resolution of employees’ personal problems. Successful resolution improves the lives of employees and the health of the client organization through improved job performance by its employees.
As a proactive approach to improving employee health, we also provide workshops on a variety of topics; recent sessions have been titled Stress Management, Managing Change in the Workplace, Conflict Resolution, and Working With Difficult People. We also provide training for supervisors and managers on how to use the EAP as an effective management tool.
