Postherpetic Neuralgia Study - Allergan
Title: A Study of the Safety and Efficacy of AGN-214868 in Patients with Postherpetic NeuralgiaDescription of StudyPurpose: To evaluate how safe and how well subjects tolerate the investigational drug injected under the skin (intra-dermal), in patients with PHN. The study will also evaluate the effect the drug has on the associated chronic pain of PHN.
Who Can Participate?
Diagnosis or Condition: Subjects with Postherpetic Neuralgia lasting more than 9 months
Age: 18 to 80 years old
Sex: Males and Females
To be included patients must:
- Have had persistent pain following shingles (herpes zoster)
- Pain can NOT involve the face or scalp
- Taking only ONE pain medication
- If a woman, must be postmenopausal or have had a hysterectomy
Visits: Up to 13 clinic visits over 28 Weeks
Stipend: You will be compensated for your time and travel
