He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and completed his internship and residency at Blodgett Memorial Medical Center at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. When he is not taking care of patients, Dr. Schmitz enjoys spending time with his family traveling, photography and sports.
