- Practice Philosophy: From elite athletes to high school competitors to injured workers trying to restore mobility, my role as an orthopedic surgeon is to find out what matters most to my patients, how their injuries affect their lives, and how to best restore their function.
Dr. Gregory Popich offers a full range of adult and adolescent orthopedic services and has particular interest in treating conditions of the shoulder and knee. He is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed his internship and orthopedic residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Dr. Popich was board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1977. He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) and the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA).
Dr. Popich is the medical director and team physician for the Tacoma Rainiers. He also serves as an Orthopedic Consultant for the Seattle Mariners, and has previously served in a similar capacity for the Seattle Supersonics. As a member of the Olympic Sports Medicine Society, Dr. Popich also provides care for US Olympic teams and athletes and works closely with high school, college and club teams.
A firm believer in maintaining the healthy, active lifestyle he advocates for his patients, Dr. Popich enjoys running, skiing, bicycling and water sports.
