What is Robotic-Assisted Surgery?
Robotic-assisted surgery is a minimally invasive surgical technique. This means that instead of using one, large incision, as traditional surgical techniques do, robotic-assisted surgery uses a few very small incisions. Special tools attached to robotic arms are then guided into those incisions by the surgeon.
The latest advances in robotics and computer technology allow surgeons to operate with more precision, so robotic-assisted surgery can be used for very complex, delicate procedures.
Because robotic-assisted surgery is much less invasive than traditional surgery, patients have less pain, less blood loss, shorter hospital stays and a faster return to everyday life.
