Schools and Colleges

The Puyallup School District serves more than 19,000 students in first grade through high school; the district is one of the largest in the state. There are 21 elementary schools in the school district, six junior high schools, and three high schools.

The Sumner School District, located next door to the Puyallup district, has seven elementary schools, three junior high schools, and one high school. It serves about 11,000 students.

Teachers in both school districts regularly earn statewide honors from their peers for their innovations in further raising the standards of education.

Other public school districts within the Good Samaritan service area are Orting, Bethel and Franklin Pierce. Puyallup is also near several private schools.
