Single-Site Robotic Surgery
MultiCare’s Robotic-Assisted Surgery program is expanding to offer the South Sound’s first single-site robotic-assisted surgery for gallbladder removal. A single incision made through the belly button during this surgery means that this procedure is virtually scarless, as well as offering all the other benefits of robotic-assisted surgery, including less bleeding and a faster recovery time.
Single-site robotic-assisted surgery for gallbladder removal is currently being performed at MultiCare Allenmore Hospital. We will add more single-site surgeries and locations in the future.
