Skilled Team
At MultiCare, highly skilled orthopedic physicians and care teams provide comprehensive, compassionate care for patients from diagnosis and treatment through recovery. Board-certified orthopedic surgeons lead the care teams and are skilled in virtually every orthopedic procedure available.
Other members of our highly skilled care teams include specially trained and dedicated orthopedic nurses, surgical nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists and case managers. These experienced teams work with you to plan and coordinate care that will meet your specific needs.
Case Managers
Case managers coordinate the health care team's efforts to ensure cost-effective, high quality care for each patient. Case managers also promote the safety and well-being of all patients.
Occupational Therapists
Occupational therapists play an important role in helping patients gain or recover day-to-day function after an injury, illness or other related challenges. Therapy may include exercise, special equipment, modified working or living environments, counseling and education.
Orthopedic Nurses
Orthopedic nurses serve as vital members of the care team, working closely with physicians, patients and other team members. They also play a key role in patient education. Their experience and knowledge help to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients recovering from orthopedic procedures.
Physical Therapists
Physical therapists are experts in how the body’s muscles, joints and other parts move and work together. They are trained in proper body mechanics, including range of motion, flexibility, balance, coordination and strength. MultiCare physical therapists are certified and experienced in providing appropriate therapies that are tailored to each patient. Therapists work with patients to help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities.
Surgical Nurses
Surgical nurses care for patients before, during and after surgery. They are highly regarded for their efficiency and dedication to their patients. Our experienced surgical nurses assist daily in all types of surgery—inpatient as well as outpatient.
