Our Staff

At Adult Day Health, we provide safe, quality patient care through our competent and compassionate staff. Here is a breakdown of our different staff roles. (You can send the employees below e-mail* by clicking on their names.)

Management Team

Our management team creates the overall direction for the department and oversees the day-to-day execution.

Nurses

Our nursing staff consists of registered nurses (RN), licensed practical nurses (LPN) and program aides. Our nursing staff is available to answer any questions about the care you receive at ADH and to help you with any recent changes or updates to your health care provider(s). We also encourage you to become educated about your health by going to the healthcare database on the MultiCare website.

They are responsible for assessing, planning and directing nursing care.

Occupational Therapists

Our therapists work with participants who have experienced an injury, illness or birth defect that has caused a disability or loss of function. Some of the areas that our therapists may work on with participants are sensory-motor, self-care, strengthening, hand function, endurance and gait. Participants either will be given a treatment time or will be escorted to their therapy session by our occupational therapists or certified occupational therapy assistant.

Social Workers

Our social workers are trained to help patients and family members cope with social and emotional problems related to changes in health. Our social workers provide supportive counseling, crisis intervention, referral to community resources, and assessment of social and emotional problems. They work closely with other members of our team. Participants and family members may request consultation from one of our social workers at any time.

Case Managers

Every participant in the Adult Day Health program has a case manager. The case manager is the leader of your health care team. This case manager may be one of our nurses, social workers, activity assistants, or occupational therapists. If you are in doubt as to who is your case manager, please do not hesitate to call the office at 253-459-7222.

Nutritional Services

Wholesome, nourishing and well-balanced meals are an important part of your participation. Our cooks work in conjunction with the nursing staff to finalize a healthy menu and to provide the meal set-up required by the physician depending on the level of independence and meal restrictions a participant may have.

Activities

Adult Day Heath's energetic, supportive atmosphere is punctuated by activities in which all can participate regardless of individual limitations. Activities are designed to be both therapeutic and enjoyable.
