Welcome to www.TacomaOrtho.org
Long before Mary Bridge opened its doors in 1955, a group of women known as the Tacoma Orthopedic Association (TOA), opened their hearts to the children of our community. Since 1921, they have dedicated their time, their resources, and their vision to advancing the health interests of children. In fact, this volunteer organization was the driving force in establishing Mary Bridge, southwest Washington’s only hospital dedicated to the health care of children.
Today, TOA is a not-for-profit organization with 1,200 volunteers. But with the health care needs of children continuing to grow, so must TOA. We need your help.
The Tacoma Orthopedic Association Supports Mary Bridge.
Over the years, the TOA efforts raised more than 15 million dollars-all of which directly benefited children at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Center through:
- Guild Projects (Auctions, Bazaars, Garage Sales)
- Association Projects (Holiday Wreaths, Festival of Trees, Hospital Gift Shops)
- Commemorative Gifts (memorials and honorariums)
Charitable Annuities and other bequests The funds we raise for Mary Bridge provide support for:
- Major medical equipment
- Uncompensated care
- Specialty pediatric programs
- Construction of new clinical facilities
