MultiCare Women’s Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery has assembled a skilled team of practitioners who specialize in women’s pelvic floor disorders. We connect our patients to the latest treatments through an experienced and compassionate team of providers.


George McClure, MDGeorge McClure, MD

George McClure, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist and has completed advanced training in urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery. Dr. McClure offers surgical and nonsurgical treatment options for women who are suffering from conditions such as bladder control disorders, pelvic organ prolapse, and trauma associated with childbirth.

Dr. McClure’s medical career spans more than 25 years. He worked in both family medicine and obstetrics & gynecology for more than a decade before going on to complete his fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery at the renowned Vincent Memorial Gynecology Service, Harvard Medical School in Boston. Dr. McClure then served on the faculty of the OB-GYN residency programs at both Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu Hawaii and subsequently Madigan Army Medical Center here in Tacoma Washington.

Dr. McClure was an active duty member of the US Army for 30 years, retiring as a Colonel in 2008.


Connie Trunk, PTConnie Trunk, PT

Connie Trunk is a Licensed Physical Therapist with advanced training in the assessment and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction and pain. She brings more than 30 years of rehabilitation experience to the Women’s Health program. Connie employs state-of-the-art EMG testing to identify specific pelvic floor muscle function. This testing guides each individualized treatment plan, which includes Biofeedback-assisted muscle re-education, manual therapy techniques, and physical therapy modalities as indicated.

Connie graduated in 1970 with a degree in Physical Therapy from California State University at Long Beach. Following graduation Connie worked and continued her training across England, Austria, Switzerland, and the United States. Her extensive clinical experience was gained while working in many diversified settings, including acute care hospitals and outpatient clinics, specialty spinal cord and neurological centers, nursing homes, and home health services.

Connie began her focused training in the evaluation and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction, pain, and incontinence after arriving at MultiCare. She has completed advanced coursework in the treatment of female and Mmle colorectal and coccyx conditions, urogynocologic treatment interventions, movement impairments related to pelvic pain syndromes, pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause.
