Pelvic Floor Disorder Treatments

There are a number of different treatments available for pelvic floor disorders. The providers at Multicare Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery will work with you to determine the best treatment for your health care needs.

Conditions can be treated non-surgically, in some cases. But if a patient does require surgery, she can have confidence in the expertise of the surgeons at Multicare Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery. Many of the procedures we perform can be done using minimally invasive techniques, which means smaller incisions, less bleeding and scarring, and faster recovery times.

The surgical procedures we perform include:

  • Minimally invasive uterine-sparing surgeries for prolapsed uterus, prolapsed bladder and urinary and fecal incontinence (such as laparoscopic sacrohysteropexy, laparoscopic uterosacral uterine suspension, laparoscopic paravaginal repair and laparoscopic colposuspension)
  • Open and laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy, to treat uterine and vaginal vault prolapse
  • Retropubic and transobturator suburethral slings (bladder slings) for incontinence
  • Sacral neuromodulation for overactive bladder and urinary retention
