CTU Orthotic Program

Orthoses are special therapeutic devices such as splints, braces and casts that are custom designed and fabricated to maintain joint alignment and encourage the development of functional movement. The Children’s Therapy Unit (CTU) has developed a variety of upper and lower extremity splint and brace styles

The CTU Orthotic Program staff includes physicians, therapists, orthotists and technicians. Children and their parents are also important members of the team. Our belief in the value and importance of the child’s involvement is reflected in our products. Bright colors, decorative straps and patterned padding are selected by the children. Personalizing splints or braces increases the child’s sense of ownership.
