Allergy and Immunology

For children with allergies, asthma or an immune system dysfunction, Mary Bridge offers the expertise of a pediatric allergist/immunologist doctor specially trained in diagnosing and treating children. A multidisciplinary care team including board certified pediatric specialist doctors and pediatric nurses provide comprehensive allergy and immunology evaluations at the Allergy and Pulmonary Program at Mary Bridge Children’s Health Center.

 

Inpatient and outpatient consultations are available to patients with:

• Anaphlaxis

Asthma and other wheezing associated problems

• Atropic dermatitis and eczema

• Chronic cough

• Drug allergy

Food allergy and/or intolerance

Immunodeficiency

• Insect hypersensitivity

• Latex allergy

• Recurrent infections

• Rhinitis

• Sinusistis

• Urticaria/Angioedema

• Wheezing

• Other allergy problems

 

Special services include:

• Allergy testing

• Allergy immunotherapy and anti-Ige therapy

• Asthma education programs

• Comprehensive asthma care

• Challenges (drug, food, exercise)

• Drug desensitization

• IVIG infusions for immunodeficiency

• Medication compliance problems

• Patch testing

• Pulmonary function testing

• Venom testing
