Mary Bridge Children's Hospital

Emergency and Trauma Services

Pediatric Emergency Care

When a child becomes ill or gets injured, it’s important to get treatment as quickly as possible. Caring for kids is our specialty – it’s all we do. Mary Bridge treats nearly 30,000 children annually through our pediatric emergency department. Our board certified pediatric emergency physicians staff the emergency department 24 hours a day.

Pediatric emergency physicians work as a team with pediatricians, subspecialists, registered nurses and paramedics who are trained to provide care for ill and injured infants and children.

Pediatric Trauma Center

Mary Bridge serves as the state-designated pediatric Level II Trauma Center for Southwest Washington, and provides regional pediatric trauma care for Pierce, Thurston, South King, Lewis, Grays Harbor and North Pacific counties.

Our pediatric trauma center is supported by air services to a rooftop helipad, a dedicated pediatric ambulance and critical care transport team, and a dedicated multidisciplinary team of pediatric specialists and support staff.
