Family Centered Care Difference
Mary Bridge is a full service, inpatient hospital with a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Medical-Surgical Unit, offering child and family-centered care through a pediatric team. Mary Bridge is also the state-designated Level II Pediatric Trauma Center for southwest Washington. At Mary Bridge, we understand that when a child is ill, it affects the whole family. Parents are an important part of their child’s care team, which is why our IPS attending physicians conduct rounds in the child’s room with the family present whenever possible.
Mary Bridge at Providence St. Peter Hospital - Olympia
Mary Bridge formed a partnership with Providence St. Peter Hospital (PSPH) in Olympia to provide a 24-hour pediatric hospitalist program. This collaboration makes it possible for kids to receive Inpatient pediatric care closer to home. Mary Bridge pediatric hospitalists staff the nine-bed, family-friendly PSPH inpatient pediatric unit 24/7. This service mirrors the established Inpatient Pediatric Service at Mary Bridge in Tacoma. These hospitalists also provide consultation and services for children in the Emergency Center and newborns in the Special Care Nursery at PSPH.
