PUYALLUP, WA- Dawei Lu, MD, has joined the MultiCare Orthopedics and Sports Medicine program in Puyallup.

Dr. Lu is an orthopedic spine surgeon specializing in the care and treatment of all adult and pediatric spine conditions including spine deformity, degenerative diseases, spinal tumors and spine trauma. Dr. Lu emphasizes selecting the best treatment for patients based on their age, pathology and symptoms, including minimally-invasive treatments.

Dr. Lu received his medical degree from Louisiana State University. He went on to complete orthopedic surgery residencies at Louisiana State University and University of Colorado. He also completed an orthopedic and neurological spine fellowship at Rocky Mountain Spine Clinic. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society.

The MultiCare Orthopedic & Sports Medicine program has specialists from Covington to Tacoma to Puyallup. This program consists of specialists who provide surgical and non-surgical options in a team approach to treating the patient.
