Tokyo Healthcare University students tour MultiCare Health System
A group of 12 students and two staff members from Japan’s Tokyo Healthcare University spent Friday touring the facilities and programs of MultiCare Health System.
Highlights included a demonstration of Tacoma General Hospital’s da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery equipment, as well as visits with the cardiac unit, radiation oncology and the Emergency Department. The students viewed a MyChart and OB CareConnect demonstration at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, then toured the new Dally Tower at Good Samaritan Hospital, which recently achieved LEED Gold certification for environmental friendliness. Other stops in Tacoma included the Data Center and Medical Records File Room.
Thanks to all of our staff members who were so welcoming and accommodating during the visit.
