Not only will our physicians care for you and your baby, but you may also meet other medical professionals along the way. Here is a list of who you may come in contact with:
Genetic Counselors: Genetic counselors are health professionals with specialized experience in the areas of medical genetics and counseling. Our genetic counselors investigate the problem, interpret information about the disorder, analyze inheritance patterns and risks of recurrence, and review available options with the family.
Ultrasonographers: Our diagnostic ultrasonographers are highly-skilled professionals who use the most up-to-date equipment to create images of the developing fetus.
Registered Nurses: Our registered nurses have advanced training in the special needs of high risk pregnancies. Care is carefully tailored to the individual patient with a focus on minimizing anxiety through education and ongoing emotional support.
