MultiCare Office of Philanthropy Welcomes New Staff Member
Cathy J. Brewis joins staff as Manager of Grants & Corporate Relations

Todd Kelley (253) 403-1716(TACOMA) – Cathy J. Brewis has joined the MultiCare Office of Philanthropy as Manager of Grants & Corporate Relations.
Brewis joins MultiCare from The News Tribune, where she provided staff support and executive leadership in market research, marketing and event management, display and classified advertising, executive management, human resources and community relations. She joined The News Tribune in 1971 as a research clerk and is a University of Puget Sound graduate.
Brewis has also served in a variety of community volunteer and leadership capacities. She has chaired the boards of the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce, YWCA of Pierce County, Tacoma Community House, RAGS, the University of Puget Sound Alumni Board and Peninsula Child Care, and has served as a volunteer for many other organizations.
“I have found MultiCare to be a fascinating, diverse, welcoming organization,” Brewis said. “It will be challenging and rewarding to enhance the work of MultiCare in our community and region.”
As Manager of Grants & Corporate Relations, Brewis will oversee grant writing efforts and managing corporate donor relationships.
