Pulmonologists to Join MultiCare Health System
Tacoma-based pulmonology clinic to open August 3
TACOMA, WA– MultiCare will open a new pulmonology clinic Monday, August 3, 2009 that will include five experienced physicians familiar to Tacoma residents.
MultiCare Pulmonary Associates will be located at 2121 South 19th Street in Tacoma. The physicians will provide patients with expert consultation, diagnostic and therapeutic services for a range of respiratory conditions. The new clinic number is (253) 301-6850.
“It is such a privilege to have such a distinguished group of physicians joining MultiCare,” said Smokey Stover, MD, Senior Vice President, MultiCare Medical Associates. “These five physicians are well respected by both their patients and the medical community. They will add an important dimension of care to our system.”
Joining MultiCare are James Kirsch, MD; Arthur Knodel, MD; Edward LeDoux, MD; John Rowlands, MD; and James Taylor, MD.
James Kirsch, MD
Dr. Kirsch attended the University of Washington Medical School. He performed his internship and residency at the University of Pittsburgh and completed his medical training in pulmonary and critical care at the University of California, Irvine. He is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care medicine.
Arthur Knodel, MD
Dr. Knodel performed his medical training at the University of Washington. He performed his internship, residency and pulmonary fellowship at Madigan Army Medical Center near Tacoma. He is board certified in pulmonary disease, critical care medicine, internal medicine and sleep medicine.
Edward LeDoux, MD
Dr. LeDoux attended Oregon Health Sciences University, where he earned his medical degree and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine, and fellowship in pulmonary disease. He is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care.
John Rowlands, MD
Dr. Rowlands completed his medical training at the University of Washington. He performed his residency in internal medicine, and fellowship in pulmonary medicine, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. He is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, critical care medicine and sleep medicine.
James Taylor, MD
Dr. Taylor earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington, and a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Stanford University. He is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary and critical care.
