Tour MultiCare’s new psychiatric unit at Auburn Medical Center
There are times when the needs of those with mental health challenges goes beyond the help that can be provided in an outpatient setting. The Adult Behavioral Health unit at MultiCare Auburn Medical Center is here to help, providing a safe and compassionate environment for patients who need hospital-based, acute-need psychiatric care.
The 20-bed Adult Behavioral Health unit cares for patients age 18 and over on both a voluntary and involuntary basis. We specialize in treating patients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, thoughts of self harm, psychosis, or other severe mental health disorders.
Treatment provided while patients stay in the unit may include:
Our care team includes a medical director, psychiatrists, psychiatric ARNP, RNs, mental health technicians, social workers, CNAs, creative arts therapists, occupational therapists and other ancillary services — all with special training in working with patients with serious mental health disorders.
This state-of-the-art unit incoporates many of the latest designs and protocols that will help keep patients and staff safe, while still providing a pleasant and comfortable environment for patients.
Our services are available in convenient locations throughout Pierce and South King counties.
