Billing information for Capital Medical Center patients

Billing information for Capital Medical Center patients

On April 1, Capital Medical Center, as well as the Capital Physician Services clinics, became a part of MultiCare. Below we outline any changes to billing that patients may expect to see in the near future.

Capital Medical Center hospital patients

At this time, billing for hospital patients will not change. You should follow the payment instructions on the bill when it arrives. If you have questions about your hospital bill, please call 800-223-9899.

Capital Physician Services clinic patients

As part of the process of bringing Capital Medical Center and the Capital Physician Services clinic into MultiCare, how clinic patients pay their bills will be changing.

  • Bills for care you received prior to April 1: Bills will come from Capital Medical Center Physicans, LLC. You may either return payment by mail to the address on your bill or visit the online payment portal to make a payment. Note that online payments require you to provide the quick pay code you can find on the bill. If you have questions about these bills, or would like to pay by phone, please call 855-242-6608.
  • Bills for care you received after April 1: Bills will come from MultiCare Capital Medical Center. You may either return payment by mail to the address on your bill; visit MultiCare’s one-time online payment portal to make a payment; or log in to your MultiCare MyChart to make a payment. If you have questions about these bills, or would like to pay by phone, please call 253-792-6151.

If you do not already have an account with MyChart, MultiCare’s free, secure, online patient portal, you can request an activation code to sign up for an account using this form.

MultiCare is unable to accept payments for care provided to you at any clinic location prior to April 1, or care you received in the hospital.

Why? Because even though where you received your care from hasn’t changed, the organization that owned those locations is different. MultiCare has no way to apply funds to bills for care you received before April 1. It would be the same as trying to pay Safeway for the groceries you bought at Target, or vice versa.
