Working Directly With Patients

Working at our MultiCare clinics is like working for a small medical practice but with the benefits of a large health care system. MultiCare has more than 90 neighborhood clinics located throughout South King and Pierce counties.

Services include:

  • Primary Care (Family Practice, Internal Medicine)
  • Specialties such as Ortho, Neurology, Urology, Cardiothoracic
  • Urgent Care Centers

Clinic Jobs

Supervisors oversee the daily activities of front and back office, in addition to ancillary staff. Applicants should have five years of front or back office experience and be an LPN or MA with an AA degree or higher.

RNs, LPNs and MAs work side-by-side with our providers and play a key role in MultiCare’s mission of providing quality patient care. Previous experience in a clinic, emergency department, or Urgent Care Center is important.

Front office staff includes Receptionists, Patient Registrars, Referral Coordinators and Surgery Schedulers. People who enjoy working with patients and providing top-notch customer service are ideal candidates. Applicants with previous health care experience are desired.

Schedules for All Lifestyles

Our family practice and specialty clinic hours are generally during the day, with holidays and weekends off. Urgent Care Centers are open days, evenings, weekends and some holidays.

Scheduling options for front and back office are full-time, part-time, or on-call (also called per diem). On-call staff do not have regularly scheduled hours and fill in “as needed” to cover staff shortages. They may get called for same day coverage and/or their hours may be scheduled in advance. They can also float between primary, specialty and urgent care clinics. On-call staff receive extra pay in lieu of benefits. Full-time and part-time staff who regularly work 24 hours or more are eligible for full benefits.


If you love working with technology, you’ll find it at MultiCare. We were the first health care system in Washington to implement Electronic Medical Records (EMR) technology. The EPIC electronic medical record system was first introduced in our clinics 10 years ago. In June 2007 it was rolled out to our inpatient settings.
