MultiCare Health System offers three unique ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency programs. One program is located on the MultiCare Auburn Medical Center campus in Auburn. The second is located on the MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital campus in Puyallup. The third is located at the MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital campus in Tacoma.
MultiCare also offers a PGY2 ambulatory care pharmacy program in the Tacoma / Puyallup area starting in July 2021.
MultiCare supports a multidisciplinary approach to patient care where the pharmacist is an integral part of the team. Information technology at MultiCare is nationally recognized and features an electronic medical record and CPOE, in addition to utilizing bedside barcode administration in all inpatient areas.

As a resident, you will be a full-time MultiCare employee with a stipend and benefits package. To qualify for the PGY1 programs, you must be a graduate (or pending graduate) of an ACPE-accredited Pharmacy program, and licensed in the State of Washington. For the PGY2 program, you must have completed a PGY1 residency program and be licensed in the State of Washington.
