We Make it Easy to Access Services

MultiCare strives to make our integrative medicine services available and affordable for all patients.

While some services do have a cost, a number of those — such as massage or consultation with a naturopath — may be billed to your health insurance. Prior to your appointment, we will provide you with a billing code so that you can ask your insurer what your out-of-pocket costs will be for that specific service. We will also provide you with a receipt to submit to your insurance company to seek reimbursement, if we are unable to bill your insurance directly.

We are also able to offer services at reduced rates — or free — to patients with cancer who qualify, thanks to a generous grant from Norman and Barbara Simon. The Simons experienced, both personally and with family and friends, how important it is to care for your mind, body and spirit when you’re undergoing cancer treatment. So, in order to help other cancer patients feel supported in this way, they established the Norman and Barbara Simon Endowment to bring integrative medicine services to MultiCare Regional Cancer Center.

If you have questions about costs or payment about any of our services, or if you would like to see if you quality for reduced or free services under the Simon Grant, please ask your doctor or nurse navigator to put you in touch with one of our social workers.

All group classes are offered at no charge to participants.

Questions to Ask Your Insurance Company

  • Ask if they cover a visit with a naturopathic provider, acupuncturist, massage therapist, or whatever service you are interested in receiving
  • Ask if they cover the billing code or codes provided to you by MultiCare
  • Ask if you have any out-of-pocket liability for this service, what it is if yes, and if there are any visit restrictions or limitations (such as, only 10 visits a year are covered)
