Whether you've suffered an injury at work or on the field, are recovering from surgery or just want to better manage your bone or joint pain, MultiCare Deaconess Hospital can help.
Working closely with you and your primary physician, our licensed therapists will design a tailor-made plan to treat your pain and restore strength, function and mobility. And we place special focus on education, arming you with strategies to help keep pain in check and prevent re-injury.
Programs to Get Moving Like You Used To
Rehabilitation specialties at Deaconess include:
- Physical Therapy: We provide detailed evaluations and strength, conditioning and range-of-motion therapies for severe arthritis, multiple orthopedic traumas and other bone and joint injuries. Programs also include pain management techniques and recommendations or assistance with splinting of the arms or legs.
- Occupational Therapy: Therapists help you regain the ability to perform daily tasks and improve quality of life following an illness or injury. They simulate home-living situations and make adaptive equipment recommendations for activities such as bathing, grooming, meal planning and housekeeping. Along the way, your therapist will provide progress assessments and make any adjustments to maximize your success.
- Post-Operative Therapy: If you're hospitalized following surgery, you'll be seen by a physical therapist in your own private room on a dedicated orthopedic floor. Though everyone's different, we'll work to get you up and moving the same day as surgery. During your stay, you'll join fellow patients each day for group therapy, where you can support and inspire each other on the road to recovery.
