Practice Philosophy: The Neuropsychology Clinic at MultiCare Neurosciences Institute provides neuropsychological evaluations of a wide range of patients 18 years and older with all spectra of neurological conditions. A neuropsychological evaluation is a systematic, empirically based assessment of cognitive abilities (e.g., memory, attention/concentration, reasoning, language, etc.), emotional status, and personality. Neuropsychological evaluations are performed to assist with diagnostic clarification, to establish a baseline regarding your brain function, to monitor the course of a health condition, or to better understand the effects of an injury. In addition, these evaluations play an important role pre- and post-surgery in some patient groups.
