Hanafy Hanafy, MD, is a board-certified surgeon practicing general and bariatric surgery. After earning his medical degree from Alexandria University in Egypt, he moved to the United States to complete his general surgery residency training. Dr. Hanafy began practicing bariatric surgery in 2003, and in 2007, he moved to Washington state.
Dr. Hanafy is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons; a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Scotland; a member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, scenic driving and learning new technology.
