Practice Philosophy: I developed a deep appreciation for people with different backgrounds and cultures as a result of growing up in parts of Canada and the United States, as well as living a number of years in Japan. I enjoy interacting with a diversity of people and this complements my desire to help patients as a primary care physician. My aim is to help patients lead healthy lifestyles and to make sure they have the information they need to make well-informed decisions.

Scott Balson, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician, who provides a full spectrum of primary care, as well as urgent and chronic disease care. He treats hypertension, hyperlipidemia, asthma, diabetes and menopausal symptoms, among other conditions. His clinical interest is geriatric medicine and he provides care for older adults in the community, including caregiver support.

Dr. Balson is a member of the American Medical Association, American Geriatric Society, American Medical Director Association, American Board of Family Medicine and American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, biking, exploring languages and cultures, and spending
time with friends and family.
