Summer's End Fun Run
The ninth annual Outpatient Physical Therapy Summer's End Fun Run — supported in part by MultiCare Health System — brings the community together to support the Let's Go! 5-2-1-0 Eat Smart, Play Hard and Learn Community Initiative, which can help families and children to eat more healthfully and be active together.
Come join us as we get moving with great people, music, a local farmers' market, medals, prizes, and lots of booths with giveaways, samples and more!
- 5K run/walk
- 10K run
- Junior 2K run
All ages and abilities are welcome.
All races start and end at Kentwood High School. Enjoy the fairly flat, fast route through city of Covington neighborhoods. The event is professionally timed and the top three finishers in each age group earn commemorative awards.
8:30am: Registration/Packet Pickup Opens
9:30am: 2K Junior Run
10am: 5K Walk and Fun Run & 10K Race Start
Registration fees are:
- 5 or 10K: $30
- Kashner Kids 2K Fun Run: FREE — BUT, registration for the 2K must be done by Wednesday, Sept. 14
Proceeds from the event benefit the Coalition for a Healthy Community, providing South King County with education and opportunities to help us live more active and healthy lives.

Did You Join the So. King Challenge?
The Summer's End Fun Run is the last race in the second annual So. King Challenge: 4 Races, 4 Cities, which starts with the Maple Valley Bear Run on June 12, and ends with the Summer's End Run on Sept. 17. Runners who participated in three out of four races are eligible to win special prizes and medals.
