Infant Massage at Deaconess Hospital
Our nurses believe there are a few key factors we should strive for when supporting infant development. Each of us is uniquely wired from a neurological perspective and as parents, we should work at recognizing each strength and weakness in order to best support our infants and toddlers as they grow. This includes reading infant cues, purposeful handling, and intentional play. Infant massage is a beautiful way to bring all of these together and begin to really strengthen a parent bond and better understanding of your infant’s sensory and muscular makeup. Wear comfortable clothes and bring your infant under (6 months and younger), massage oil of choice and a blanket!
This class is Life Touch Massage certified. Please see more information at: http://lovingtouch.com/
Where do I park for class? We apologize that our parking is no longer free. You may park in the parking garage located below the Maternity Center on the corner of 5th and Wall for $3 or on the street. Again, this is NOT where you park for prenatal appointments. You can enter the parking garage driveway off of 5th avenue. There is a black sign with an arrow to look for on 5th Avenue. Depending on the time of your class there are "bus zones" that offer free parking in the evenings and weekends near Lewis and Clark Highschool.
