Life with Baby - Baby Basics for Mom and Dad
After you have prepared for birth, it is important to think ahead for the future with your new baby! We will cover the highlights of what to expect when the new baby gets here.
This newborn basics class covers diapering, swaddling, sleeping and bathing basics. We will introduce tips for successful breastfeeding that the whole family will benefit from. It is important to discuss the schedules that babies keep and their ever-changing needs! We will cover what new families can expect in the hospital after you transfer to the Mother-Baby Unit, as well as tips for care at home.
Mom’s health and recovery after this baby arrives is discussed- and ways to keep your body healthy and ideas for nutrition and sleep for Mom. We will end the class with a tour of the Mother-Baby Unit. This is a single evening class for Moms only or Moms and their birth partners- best scheduled after any of the childbirth class/sessions. This class is designed with couples in mind, although not necessary!
