Baby Care Basics - MultiCare Valley Hospital
Your baby is coming! Let us help you prepare for the big arrival with a crash course in baby care. We will cover the highlights of what to expect when the new baby is finally here. This newborn class covers diapering, swaddling, sleeping and bathing basics. We will introduce tips for breastfeeding that will get you headed in the right direction for a successful breastfeeding journey. If you are planning to bottle feed, we'll cover that, too. We will explain what new families can expect both in the hospital and once you take your baby home. Mom's health and recovery after baby arrives is discussed, as well as ideas for nutrition and sleep. You will learn some ways that partners and support people can give mom what she needs to make the transition in to motherhood a bit smoother.
This is a single evening class for moms, dads, partners and caregivers. Space is limited and REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Please register for the class closest to your baby's due date. Only expectant moms need to register.
