Expectant parents have the option to schedule a prenatal consultation at Rockwood Pediatrics. The intention of the consultation is to meet with a provider, become familiar with the staff and learn about our pediatric health care philosophy. Parents-to-be are asked to bring any questions they may have to the appointment.
Congratulations! We encourage all new infants to see a pediatrician within a few days of going home from the hospital. Once baby is born, call any of our convenient locations in North Spokane, Downtown Spokane or in Spokane Valley to make your appointment and we will get you in to see your chosen provider as soon as possible.
Postpartum depression affects many women. The most common symptoms are feeling overwhelmed, ongoing crying without reason, anger, low self-esteem, losing interest in activities and withdrawing from friends and family. It is important to talk to your primary care provider and OBGYN about how you are feeling. New mothers can expect a short postpartum depression screening during well-child visits.
It's common for infants with pink eye, coughs, colds or fevers to require a doctor's visit. At Rockwood Clinic Pediatrics, we typically have same-day appointments available. Avoid an urgent care visit and see one of our trusted specialists by contacting us as soon as you know your child will need to see a doctor.
