MultiCare offers a number of integrative medicine therapies to complement your normal course of cancer treatment. These therapies have been shown to reduce side effects of treatment, such as nausea, lessen pain and help provide an improved sense of well being.

MultiCare's chaplaincy program supportively nurtures the spiritual and emotional well-being of our community. Chaplains are trained to interact with individuals and families in a spiritual and culturally sensitive manner, to help them find healing and new meaning in the midst of their circumstances. Chaplains are committed to collaborative work as part of the health care team, working together to care for patients and families, as well as to support our doctors and hospital staff.

Involves applying structured pressure to the soft tissues of the body to achieve a beneficial response. Therapeutic massage therapy can be applied to parts of the body or the whole body to relieve stress, manage pain and improve circulation.
We are periodically able to offer foot, hand/arm and upper back/neck/head massage services during infusion therapy appointments.

Specially trained physical and occupational therapists, certified lymphadema therapists and speech therapists help treat patients with cancer, providing each patient with a multi-specialty rehabilitation program, that is designed to meet their specific needs.
Our oncology rehabilitation specialists are trained to assist patients from initial cancer diagnosis through recovery, maximizing functional abilities and helping to minimize complications and side effects of many cancer related treatments. In addition, all of our clinicians are specialty certified to identify and treat lymphedema, using the latest technology and clinical treatment protocols.
