Are you bothered by excess fat around your midsection or upper arms that are less than toned? Then liposculpture may be the solution. Also called lipoplasty or liposuction, liposculpture helps reshape areas of your body by removing localized fat deposits.
Fat cells don’t regenerate and once removed, they’re gone forever. The procedure helps slim specific areas, improve your proportions and often give your self-confidence a decided boost.
Areas that can be helped by liposculpture include:
It’s important to note that liposculpture is not a replacement for a healthy diet and exercise. If you’re contemplating this cosmetic surgery, schedule a consultation with one of our board-certified medical providers. During the meeting, your doctor will ask about your goals for your appearance, as well your medical history and any previous procedures.
Bring a list of medications and vitamins or supplements you take. Also be sure to ask our doctors about any questions you have regarding liposculpture. Your doctor will recommend treatment options that address your concerns, and help you evaluate the benefits and risks of each as well as set realistic expectations for the outcome of any procedure.
Liposuction is typically an outpatient procedure, and patients often go home the same day. Patients receive a tumescent anesthetic, an anesthetic solution placed into the fatty tissue to make it numb. During the procedure, the doctor makes small incisions in the skin and then inserts a thin tube to loosen the excess fat and suction it out of the body.
Following surgery, compression garments or bandages may be used to control swelling. Follow-up appointments with your doctor will ensure that your recovery is progressing as expected. Depending on the area, it may take months to see the final results.
*A $75 consultation fee will be charged and applied towards the total cost of surgery, if surgery is elected.
