Our Approach

We Care for Your Whole Child

MBCH Woman and Children - Jake Cape

In our program, your child is never a number. We focus our attention on the whole child. Our patients see the same providers for years, and our small, dedicated team knows their families well. We conduct a thorough assessment of each child's needs — including evaluating family and community environments, and assessing adaptive equipment needs — before creating an individualized care plan designed to help them be more successful in their day-to-day lives.

Our priority for your child is functional outcomes, gathering feedback from both you and your child to measure and evaluate real results — and tailoring our therapies to produce the best possible benefits.

A Team Approach

Your child will be the center of a Rehab Team consisting of family, doctors, nurses, therapists and social workers — all joining forces to maximize mobility and function.

We work closely with other Mary Bridge specialties such as Orthopedics, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Psychology, Neuropsychology, Developmental Behavioral Health, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Wound Care and Therapy Services to coordinate treatment and provide optimal care. We are often able to schedule appointments so that patients can visit several specialists on the same day.

Our Personal Health Partners (PHPs) can advocate for and assist in coordinating the complex health care and social needs of children with chronic medical conditions. PHPs can often assist on the same day patients are seen at the clinic or as needs arise.
