Frequently Asked Questions for Employees

Q: What is the MultiCare Behavioral Health Network?

The MultiCare Behavioral Health Network represents an affiliation formed in 2016 between MultiCare Behavioral Health and community behavioral health providers Navos to the north in King County and Greater Lakes Mental Healthcare (GLMH) to the south in Pierce County. Both Navos and Greater Lakes Mental Healthcare have many years of providing successful and effective treatments focused on recovery and wellness for primarily low income individuals of all ages.

Q: Why was this affiliation created?

Access to behavioral health care is a significant issue in Washington. Addressing the region's severe shortage of behavioral health services is a top priority for MultiCare, Navos and GLMH. By combining our resources, we are stronger and more effective in helping more individuals achieve wellness and live to their fullest potential. It is also our goal to help remove the stigma associated with mental illness that can impede people from seeking the care they need.

Q: How does the affiliation support MultiCare's business goals?

Together, we are positioned to create, develop, and implement the most comprehensive network of behavioral health services in the Pacific Northwest. This partnership:

Improves quality-of-care and the patient experience by combining our best assets, including programs tailored to meet specific populations' needs, industry-leading expertise in areas like trauma-informed care.
Improves care coordination by streamlining behavioral health services and reducing duplicative care
Diversifies each organization's portfolio of services, leading to new sources of revenue -  and importantly – allowing us to help more people to recovery
