Diagnosis, Treatment and Support for Moms Who Need Extra Care

Our Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists offer experience and skill in their practice, so you can relax knowing you will be in good hands.

All pregnancies are different and require different treatments. Some of the services we provide are:

Prenatal Risk Assessment: Prenatal risk assessment, to screen for specific types of birth defects, is available in both the first and second trimester.

Detailed Fetal Ultrasound Evaluation: We have the latest ultrasound equipment to provide high resolution images in 2D, 3D, and 4D of the developing fetus and to provide ongoing assessments of fetal growth and well-being.Maternal-Fetal Medicine Ultrasound

Genetic Counseling: Two full-time Certified Genetic Counselors are available to obtain a family history and ensure that all of our patient's questions are answered and testing options discussed. Information about drug, infectious disease and chemical exposure is also available.

Genetic Testing: Genetic testing and prenatal diagnosis of congenital abnormalities is available by testing of one or both parent’s blood as well as through analysis of fetal cells obtained by amniocentesis.

Perinatal Consultation: Consultation is offered for a wide range of maternal risks or medical conditions that may impact pregnancy and the development of the unborn baby.

Diabetes: Diabetic consultation is provided in coordination with the Diabetic Education Department which provides education and nutritional counseling. Ongoing monitoring and management of the pregnancy diabetic as an out-patient helps to assure a healthy outcome for both mother and baby.

Multiple Births: Twins and higher order multiples present special considerations in pregnancy. We provide an ongoing educational and monitoring of multiple gestations to identify medical complications early in pregnancy, and minimize the risk of preterm birth.
