Spokane-area MultiCare hospitals earn CMS four-star rating

Posted on Feb. 9, 2018 ( comments)

MultiCare Health System announced that Deaconess Hospital and Valley Hospital both earned a four-star rating by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

This comprehensive analysis places both hospitals in the exclusive company of the top 25 percent of hospitals across the country. CMS scores hospitals based on seven indicators, centered on the quality of patient care and patient satisfaction.

“This four-star rating is a testament to one of our core values of excellence and the high-quality care we provide throughout MultiCare Health System,” says Senior Vice President and Chief Executive for MultiCare’s Inland Northwest Region, David O’Brien, MD. “We want our patients to know that from check-in to discharge, we are committed to exceptional, individualized care at Deaconess and Valley hospitals.”
