"Everybody’s got to do their part": MultiCare nurses talk about being safe this holiday
This holiday season is like none we’ve experienced. Spending time with friends and loved ones to celebrate is a treasured ritual for many people this time of year. We are all weary of the missed human connections and ongoing challenges in our lives because of COVID-19.
On a positive note, there finally appears to be light at the end of the tunnel, with last week's welcome news that the FDA has given Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine Emergency Use Authorization. Work is underway across the nation to get doses of the vaccine shipped and distributed in some capacity before the end of the year.
But the COVID-19 pandemic is far from over. It will take a number of months before vaccines are widely available. So it is still incredibly important for us to continue to follow masking and physical distancing guidelines, as well as our state's restrictions on indoor social gatherings — even if that means giving up on our cherished traditions this year.
In the video below, MultiCare nurses talk about what their holidays will look like this year and why they encourage all us to do our part to keep our friends and family members safe and healthy.
