MultiCare brings high-end urgent care to Thurston County
MultiCare Health System is expanding its retail urgent care into Thurston County with three new Indigo Urgent Care clinics opening between now and June 2017.
This will be MultiCare’s first time offering urgent care services to adults in Thurston County. Locations include Tumwater, opening Dec. 8, Lacey in January and Olympia in June.
MultiCare Indigo Urgent Care is a new line of urgent care clinics that brings together convenience and high-touch services to transform the health care experience for consumers in the Puget Sound region. MultiCare opened its first Indigo Urgent Care in Tacoma in June.
The difference at the new MultiCare Indigo Urgent Care locations is apparent from the moment a patient walks in. The ambiance is similar to a coffee shop. Patients will be met by a health care “concierge” who will see to their needs from the time they walk in the door, to the time they go on their way. Amenities such as complimentary espresso, water, Wi-Fi service and charging stations create a relaxing environment.
“We’re thrilled to bring Indigo Urgent Care to residents of Thurston County,” said Dr. Julie Stroud, MultiCare Urgent Care Medical Director. “We know our communities want easy access to health care and we’re committed to increasing their options, especially for those who do not have a primary care provider.”
Since June, MultiCare has opened Indigo Urgent Care clinics in Tacoma, Tukwila, Covington, Mill Creek and the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle. An Issaquah clinic will open later in December. Additional clinics are planned for neighborhoods in Pierce, King and Snohomish counties in 2017.
Indigo Urgent Care is unique compared to other retail urgent care clinics in the area in that it is a part of MultiCare Health System’s network of hospitals, outpatient specialty centers and primary and urgent care clinics in Thurston, Kitsap, Pierce, Snohomish and South King counties.
Indigo Urgent Care clinics are open seven days a week, 8am to 8pm, and provide care for many conditions to include allergies, cold and flu symptoms, earaches, fevers, minor burns or bruises, minor fractures or sprains, rash or poison ivy, sore throat, skin complaints and urinary tract infections.
