MultiCare New Adventures, Tacoma General voted Best of the South Sound
When parents in Tacoma are looking for childcare, MultiCare New Adventures Children's Center is at the top of the list.
But you don’t have to take our word for it. According to the 2015 South Sound Magazine’s Best of the South Sound annual readers' poll, New Adventures is the best daycare in the South Sound.
New Adventures is located near the MultiCare Health System Main Campus in Tacoma and offers care for children ages four weeks to 12 years old. The program philosophy supports a nurturing environment that helps all children learn and excel holistically. Staff members at New Adventures have early childhood degrees or training.
Just one block away from New Adventures is MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital, named the best hospital in this year's Best South Sound survey.
Tacoma General Hospital offers a wide range of health care services including a 24-hour Emergency Department with Level II trauma center, the MultiCare Regional Cancer Center, Family Birth Center and the region's largest, most advanced NICU.
Tacoma General is also home to leading-edge cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, robotic and traditional surgical care.
Mary Bridge Children's Hospital and Health Center volunteer Martina Ngo was named Citizen of the Year by South Sound Magazine. Ngo, also known as the Nail Fairy, collects donations of tutus, wings, temporary tattoos and nail polish and visits inpatient and outpatient at Mary Bridge regularly.
According to the magazine, "Thousands of you voted for your favorite people, places and things in our Best of the South Sound annual readers' poll." Categories in the contest include Arts & Entertainment, Food & Drink, Health & Beauty and Kids.
