Warts and all: MultiCare Express Clinic removes warts, skin tags
Don't put up with that bothersome wart or skin tag any longer. MultiCare's Express Clinic offer wart and skin tag removal -- no appointment necessary.
"As long as it's not in a sensitive area such as around the eyes or areas that may require discretion, we can do it," says MultiCare Express Clinic Director John Ward, ARNP.
Warts are skin growths caused by a virus. They sometimes go away on their own and they can be treated at home. Skin tags are small, soft pieces of skin that stick out on a thin stem. Usually found on the neck, armpits, upper trunk and body folds, their cause is not known.
Both are harmless and do not require removal. Still many people opt to do so for cosmetic reasons or because the wart or skin tag is causing them some discomfort.
If you do decide you'd like a wart or skin tag removed, the nurse practitioners at our Express Clinic can help. Located in the Lakewood Rite Aid store, the walk-in clinic is open daily as well as after hours and on weekends. In addition to offering services such as removing warts and skin tags, the clinic also provides treatment for an array of minor ailments.
"You're going to receive the best care for minor conditions here because that's all that we do," Ward says.
