High Standards of Care for the Best Possible Outcomes

Whether it occurs through injury or disease, back and neck pain can have a major effect on your quality of life.

But you don’t have to live with chronic spine, neck or back pain. Let the spine and back physicians at MultiCare pinpoint the problem for you.

Developing a Comprehensive Treatment Plan

At MultiCare Spine Services, we take a multidisciplinary approach to evaluating and treating back and neck problems. Our orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, pain management specialists, and other medical professionals collaborate to develop a treatment plan that works best for you.

Not everyone with a spinal condition needs surgery. After we evaluate your condition, we'll work closely with you on non-surgical treatment options such as physical therapy, therapeutic exercise, and medications for pain and spasticity.

If you do need surgery, our spine surgeons have the expertise to provide the highest standard of care and help ensure the best possible outcome. They are trained in traditional open spine surgery as well as state-of-the-art minimally invasive techniques.

Our program welcomes patients seeking second opinions, especially if surgery has been recommended to address your pain. It's important to be aware of every treatment option and make sure you are comfortable with the course of treatment.

MultiCare’s Spine Surgery Centers

The main centers for MultiCare’s Spine Surgery Program are located at MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital and MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup. Features of our Spine Surgery Program at these locations include:

  • Hospital beds reserved specifically for spine surgery patients, which provide comfortable rest and recovery accommodations separate from each hospital’s standard medical-surgical beds.
  • A dedicated nursing and support staff who provide pre- and post-surgical care to spine surgery patients.
  • State-of-the-art operating rooms that offer some of the latest technologies available to make our spine surgeries safer and less invasive.

Spine surgeries are also performed at MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.
