As the region's most comprehensive multi-specialty health care organization, MultiCare Rockwood Clinic has become the regional leader in primary and specialty medical expertise and services. Since 1930, Rockwood Clinic has been on the forefront of integrated medical, surgical and specialty care. The goal at Rockwood is providing a consistently exceptional patient experience for each and every person. With each encounter you have with our providers and services, we are confident you will recognize the truly exceptional health and medical care that you are receiving.
Rockwood Clinic patients are our partners in customer service and quality improvement initiatives. We are continually improving and refining our services, encounters and overall patient experience. Our Quality Improvement (QI) department measures how well we are doing through patient surveys and other industry measurement tools.
We also have an internal customer service training program that helps our employees improve their patient relations. We continue to introduce new and better QI and customer service tools to further enhance our patients' encounters with our providers and staff.
Questions related to customer service should be directed to our Patient Advocate:
We suggest arriving for your appointment at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time. This allows ample time for you to be registered and complete any needed forms. The following is a friendly reminder of what to keep in mind when visiting a Rockwood Clinic location:
MultiCare Rockwood Clinic has a team approach to the clinical care you receive as a patient. Our physicians work with our medical assistants (MAs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and registered nurses (RNs) to ensure we provide the best medical care for you. Rockwood Clinic also employs advanced registered nurse practitioners (ARNPs) and physician assistants (PAs) in your evaluation and treatment.
Your provider is your partner for health and wellness. After performing your medical evaluation, the provider, with your participation, organizes and implements a treatment or intervention plan. Throughout the course of your treatment, your provider works with all of the members of the care team to assess and treat your specific health condition.
The provider's assistant plays an important role in your health care. You can expect the assistant to manage an array of health care services, such as giving injections and providing medical advice and follow-up care over the phone. We encourage you to consult with the assistant whenever you have a question or concern regarding your health.
Nurse practitioners and physician assistants are highly trained medical specialists that manage some of the tasks for the physician. They collaborate directly with the attending physician and play a significant role in your complete care. Rockwood Clinic ARNPs and PA-Cs can prescribe medication and examine patients.
At Rockwood Clinic, we are all working together for a healthier community.
