Gastrointestinal (GI) health is a top priority at MultiCare Valley Hospital. We offer patients a number of diagnostic procedures and therapies that use the latest technology in endoscopy. What’s the benefit? Your doctors get a clear look at parts of the body not easily accessible by other methods, and you get GI care that you can trust, close to home.
Upper Endoscopy: A thin, flexible tube is used to look inside the esophagus, stomach and part of the small intestine. Sedation is often provided during this procedure.
Colonoscopy: A narrow, flexible instrument is used to examine the large intestine and part of the lower small intestine. Sedation is often provided during this procedure.
Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP): This procedure is similar to an upper endoscopy, but it also uses dye to study the ducts of the gallbladder, pancreas and liver. Sedation is provided during this procedure.
