Pharmacy Services at Valley Hospital

Our on-site pharmacy works directly with physicians and nurses to provide information about the best ways to administer medications, minimizing the possibility of drug or food interactions and avoiding errors.

MultiCare Valley Hospital pharmacists make regular rounds throughout the hospital and advise staff members on current and alternate drug therapies. They also provide discharge counseling to patients who need help understanding their medications.

If you're a patient, we recommend keeping us informed about your medications, to help us provide the best treatment.

  • Bring a list of current medications and their dosages. This list should include medications prescribed by your physician, those purchased over the counter and any herbal medications or nutraceuticals.
  • Inform your caregivers of any medications you cannot take.
  • Bring the name and telephone number of your pharmacy in case there are any questions about your prescriptions.
  • Ask questions about any new medications if you don't understand what they are for or why they are being given to you.
