Urology services at MultiCare Valley Hospital focus on the urinary tract, including the bladder and kidneys, as well as the male reproductive system.
Chemotherapy: This treatment can stop or slow the growth of cancer. Chemotherapy is administered in different ways, often intravenously or orally.
Diagnostic Testing: A variety of testing is used to diagnose urinary tract disease and determine kidney function including X-rays, with and without dye, urinalysis, ultrasound and blood tests.
Dialysis: When the kidneys are not functioning properly, dialysis mechanically removes impurities from the blood. We offer acute dialysis for patients with kidney failure who are receiving other treatments or undergoing procedures at the hospital.
Lithotripsy: This treatment uses sound waves to break up stones in the kidney or urinary tract into smaller pieces that can pass through the urinary system.
Neobladder Procedure: This specialized surgery creates a new bladder for the elimination of urine when cancer or other diseases prevent flow through normal channels. This procedure eliminates the need for an external pouch.
Surgery: We perform a number of surgeries to enhance urological health such as bladder suspension to prevent leakage, tumor removal or prostate reduction.
